| the cherry |
The cherry is the fruit of the cherry tree,
originally from north-east Asia. It is difficult to
establish with certainty the original country of
the cherry tree, because cherries have been
cultivated in numerous regions from
prehistoric times.
The birds, very partial to
cherries, contributed to spread this fruit tree
throughout the world thanks to their
migrations. Men, enjoy these dark red
–almost black- and fleshy fruit with pleasure
either alone or in numerous desserts
such as the clafoutis (cherry cake). |

Burgundy cherry liqueur |
Gold Sigille - Concours International des Eaux de Vies
et Liqueurs - Metz 2006 |
Trénel pours all its skills into making this cherry liqueur – also
nown as “guignolet” – with its distinctive deep ruby colour
and fine nose of bitter almonds. Its vibrant palate offers
a bouquet of the same fruity, cherry flavours found on the nose.
Offset by the sweetness, the alcohol remains discreetly
in the background. A delicious reminder of the fruit
and of summer, this liqueur keeps well for several months
without any loss of flavour.
